Description

The Chinese god Chungapa is regarded as a tantric deity. He was practicing meditation while holding lotus flowers on both sides of his hands. Those who worship the chungapa on his downward side offer him various items. Three persons are standing to his left; one is giving out the fruits, while the other two are examining the chungapa. Three persons are standing to his left; one is giving out the fruits, while the other two are examining the chungapa. Three other people—two of whom are offering Sankha and the third is playing vina—are standing to his right. The next person is holding a vina, a musical instrument that is used for meditation. He embodies the “Dhyana asana” stance. He is seated with his feet up and his legs crossed. The fact that he is surrounded by golden hues and has yellow clothing on him gives the impression that he is humble and removed from the materialistic society. Golden hues are associated with freedom, happiness, purity, enlightenment, and knowledge.
