Description
Vairocana sits on a high throne and a double lotus. His hands are in the gesture of teaching. Behind him is associate degree elaborate throne-back with a halo of flames and a royal shade. This image is comparable to several of the Buddhist bronzes of jap Bharat. Buddhists travelled between the monasteries of eastern India and the countries of South-east Asia. Many bronzes of jap Indian manufacture were taken to Dutch East Indies however this image was domestically created.
