Buddha Samantabhadra is deep blue in color, symbolising the sky or emptiness of mind. Samantabhadri or buddha’s consort is white in color, symbolizing the aspect of the clarity of our mind. The male female of Adi Buddha in union depict the unity of emptiness and cognizance. Samantabhadri is completely nude and while not ornaments symbolising that she is free from all thought constructs. It means that enlightenment can be realized only when we are free from thought constructs and one perceives the empty nature of the mind directly.
